The Lucie

We had a room block at The Lucie for our wedding weekend and truly had the best time!! The hotel went through a renovation, so for more accurate and updated pictures, the website is the best depiction of what it actually looks like. The rooms were very clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. We stayed on the first floor in one of the suites, and it was so nice being able to just open the sliding door to go to the beach. It was just perfect!! And Steve at the front desk was the absolute best!! He has an amazing way of connecting with the guests and making them feel right at home! The only reason why I gave four stars for service was because there was a woman who worked in the cafe who should probably not be working in customer service. I thought maybe I had just caught her in a bad moment, but then I had many friends and family staying at the hotel who commented on how “unpleasant” she was, which made us avoid the cafe for the rest of our stay. The rest of the staff was super kind and accommodating and contributed to us having a wonderful stay. We loved being able to relax by the pool and order drinks and food from the outdoor bar! Overall, we had a wonderful time and we would definitely stay again!!

We moved to Florida recently and wanted to stay at an oceanfront hotel. This was by far the best experience we have had in Florida. Steve at the front desk was amazing and extremely accommodating. He helped us find the perfect place for dinner (not to mention, no one in town had dental floss except Steve).... 😉 Charles at the tiki bar was super fun and friendly. We literally live a half hour from here and we are booking another stay tonight *BONUS* They are dog friendly and we are bringing our pup tonight. Fabulous service. Fabulous staff. Thanks so much!

We've been staying at the Lucie for years (Marriott prior to the purchase by Opal Resorts). It's one of our favorite hotels, and the sound of the surf through your balcony or slider door is worth the price just by itself. Beautiful, convenient location, close restaurants and shopping, beautiful beach. Very nice service. So pleasant. We'll be back but just two items - first, the common hotel habit lately of adding "resort fees" to the hotel price is so annoying. It's such a stupid, irritating pricing tactic, but I know they all do it lately. Then there's the current pool policy. They close the pool area at "dusk." Makes utterly no sense. The pool and hot tub area is one of this hotel's great assets, it's heated, lit, and they even keep the fountain running at night - but they close the pool at "dusk" - whatever that is - and chase everybody out. And it's not a staffing issue either - the pool area is never staffed, no lifeguard. That pool policy is the most annoying thing of all, and makes zero sense. After dinner drinks around the pool, chatting with fellow guests, the whole thing - nope, killed. Somebody really needs to rethink that stupid hotel policy. Why on earth would a Florida "resort" hotel close its pool at dusk?

This is the best price point to value Hotel I've ever stayed in. Staff is extremely friendly and has family run atmosphere. This also maybe one of the nicest beaches in Florida. The pool /hot tub area is sweet. Get a balcony room and enjoy this very clean yet seasoned Beach hotel. Christina is a rock star, and you should treat her accordingly, cannot praise enough. One of best vacation experiences I ever had and have had a lot. Enjoy

We just stayed this weekend at THE LUCIE and LOVED IT! The rooms are nice, spacious, spotless clean, with very comfortable beds and nicely decorated. Location is also excellent though the food and menu at the restaurant could definitely be improved. But what makes this place exceptional is the service, especially at the front desk during check- in/out and throughout our stay. We were helped by Cristina, an extremely friendly and utterly professional lady at the front desk who provided us top notch service, with outmost kindness answering all our questions, giving us restaurant recommendations, going out of her way to help and always with a big smile. We were truly impressed by her professionalism, warmth and fantastic disposition to please the guests and do her job with excellence. We all agreed that she was the most memorable part of our stay. Kudos to THE LUCIE for choosing such quality person at the front desk who quickly made us feel like we picked the right and best place to stay. Thank you again, Cristina for everything! We will certainly be back!

We had such a great stay. It was clean and staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. Whitney checked us in and couldn’t of asked for a more friendly welcoming. We left a shirt behind and Stephanie helped us get it shipped back to us. So convenient to have Kyle G’s restaurant and bar right next door in walking distance. Definitely will stay here again.
